IFM takes over Romanian software specialist

Data Science, Industrial Automation and Automotive HMI (Human Machine Interface) are the core competencies of the Romanian company Devtel Software, founded in 2010. The company has been working together with IFM on various software and use case topics for several years. The technology stack includes C++/Qt, .NET Core, Angular/React for cloud and web applications. On December 1, 2022, IFM took over the software specialist. Devtel will be integrated into GIB SRL based in Cluj, Romania. The 31 employees who will move to the subsidiary of the ifm solutions division will then exclusively take care of the further development of ifm's software solutions.

The merger of GIB srl and Devtel Software has been operating under the name of IFM Devtel Software since December 2022. After the takeover, the almost 40-strong team will move into a new office in Cluj-Napoca, about 160 km from Sibiu, in the next few months. Devtel's two previous managing directors, Aurel Popirtac and Lucian Horga, will lead the company alongside the existing management.
